alpha2,6-sialyl-N-acetyllactosamine is a trisaccharide comprising an N-acetyllactosamine disaccharide and a terminal sialic acid modification on the 6-position of galactose. The reducing terminus contains an R-group which can represent either an aminopentanol linker or an aminopentanol conjugated to biotin.
